Cal FHC April 14

The Caledonia Scots hosted the Forest Hills Central Rangers today in the first OK White game for both teams. The Ragers scored first as a result of some defensive miscues by the Scots and lead 1-0 until the bottom of the 3rd. On a passed ball, Danny Paas tied the game at 1. Joe Stegehuis immediately drove in a run to break the tie and give the Scots a 2-1 lead that they would not relinquish. Cody Jakiel drove in a run in rhe fourth to extend the lead to 3-1.  In the 7th inning, Austin Coon drove in a run and later scored on another two RBI hit by Stegehuis, who finished with 3 RBIs. Caleb Sleeman earned his second win of the year (2-0) going three innings for the Scots, and Trent Foreman and Mitch Horgan provided four shutout innings in relief. The Scots improve to 2-0 on the year and 1-0 in the OK White. These two teams will meet again both Wednesday and Thursday, both games starting at 4:15 and both taking place at Forest Hills Central. Also a shoutout to my boy Mitch McCallum for the sweet bunt and truck. Hit em again, hit em again, harder, harder. Go Scots.
