Cal TK Recap

Today, the Caledonia Scots set off to start the 2015 campaign with a trip down to Middleville for a good ole fashioned rivalry with the TK Trojans, meeting for the first time since 2013. The Scots bats were in midseason form today cranking out 11 runs on 12 hits to earn an 11-6 win. In the first two innings, the Scots had 8 runners crossing the plate jumping to the 8-0 lead. Mitch Horgan and Cody Jakiel each chipped in 2 RBIs for the Scots. The Trojans battled back with 2 runs in the 3rd, 5th and 6th but the offense of the Scots proved far too much. Also driving in runs for the Scots were Drake Ellens, Joe Stegehuis and Logan Hudson. Caleb Sleeman started today and pitched three innings and brought home the win, his first of the year. The Scots improve to 1-0 on the season and will  play again April 14 when they open OK Conference play against the Forest Hills Central Rangers.
